Vision Statement
The Counseling Department at PACE West is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where students with learning and emotional disabilities are empowered to thrive. In alignment with PWCS’s vision of launching thriving futures, we center our work on growth, healing, and resilience—supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally through trauma-informed and restorative counseling practices. Our goal is to ensure every student graduates on time, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and habits of mind to succeed in school, career, and life.
Mission Statement
The PACE West Counseling Department partners with students, families, educators, and service providers to deliver individualized, strength-based, and culturally responsive support aligned with students’ IEP goals. In alignment with PWCS’s mission to prepare students as resilient, critical thinkers and global collaborators, we cultivate a restorative school culture that models emotional regulation, accountability, and trust. We are committed to removing barriers and fostering connection so that every student graduates on time, ready to navigate life with confidence, self-advocacy, and the skills needed for lifelong success.
