VUS.9 The student will demonstrate knowledge of the emerging role of the United States in world affairs by evaluating United States involvement in World War I, including Wilson’s Fourteen Points, the Treaty of Versailles, and the national debate over treaty ratification and the League of Nations.

We will be discussing the causes and results of World War I from both global and American perspectives. Students will be given a quiz on certain aspects of World War I on Friday. Daily topics will be as follows:

– The MAIN Causes of WWI

– Strategies, Weapons, and Characteristics of the War

– US Involvement

– The Treaty of Versailles, 14 Points and the Road to WWII
