Update for the weeks of 6/1 and 6/8: We will continue moving through core class curriculum. As of this morning, I have posted updated and easier to follow resources and assignments for US/VA History, World History and English 9, 10, and 11. In the Files and Documents tab on the left, you will see individual class folders that go with each of the resources.  A shortcut to that link can be found here:

-In the English files is a Poetry unit.  I have included a Powerpoint with terms and definitions to assist you.  This unit will help to prepare you for either the EOC Reading SOL in 11th Grade or 12th Grade English so it is a very useful unit to complete.  Also, continue to write and submit the ongoing journal assignment. Please use this as a creative outlet during this challenging time.  I have been very impressed with the journals that have been submitted so far.  Keep up the good work!

-New to the Ancient World History files is a unit on Meso-American Cultures. There is a Powerpoint to review and an activity to complete. Please continue the units on Feudalism and Inter-Regional Unity as well as the feudal manor project and "This Day in History" link for students to research and summarize daily past events.

-New to the US and Virginia History files is a unit on Contemporary America.  There are Powerpoints to review on US Involvement in the Middle East and Presidents from Nixon to Obama and an activity on Prominent Americans of the Late 1900s to complete.  Please continue the units on Civil Rights and The Cold War as well as"This Day in History" and the "We Didn't Start the Fire" project.  link for students to research and summarize daily past events.

Students can complete Word-based assignments digitally, save their work and send it to me via email. Students may also print and complete each activity and attach it via email back to me, or use their phone to take a picture of the completed work and send that via email. For those that cannot print PDF's or complete worksheets digitally, responses can be typed up in a new document and attach that.

All completed work should be sent to: charesse@pwcs.edu.

students should be working through these assignments in to master core curriculum standards and to prepare for future materials that will be published later in the 4th quarter.

-I will continue to host Zoom virtual class from 10-11 am every Monday. Please attend for instructional assistance and Q & A as needed for History and English classes. Refer to your PWCS Outlook email for Zoom meeting info.
