The students will be working with pedometers this week.  I will use them throughout the class, giving the students the opportunity to track their steps.  They will learn the importance of taking the recommended 10,000 steps a day and what it does to the body.  We will be playing different games each day, but we will use the pedometers to determine a winning team rather than the score of a game.  The team that has the most steps at the end of the game will win.  This puts the onus on being active rather than an individuals athletic level.
