Students complete, in 3-5 sentences, a Daily Reflection of how yesterday went at school.

Students complete their Self-Assessment survey in which, on a scale of 1-10, they assess their stress and anxiety levels.

Students begin a weekly writing prompt.

Since you’ve become a teenager, what is the greatest challenge       you’ve faced?



Daily Reflection monitored by teacher.

Self-Assessment checked for high levels of stress and anxiety, and referred to counselor in necessary.

Writing prompt graded according to PWCS scoring rubric.

The student will write in a variety of forms, with an emphasis on persuasion.
The student will self- and peer-edit writing for correct grammar, capitalization, punctuation, spelling, sentence structure, and paragraphing.
